FRIDAY, JUNE 22
5-9pm - Miniature Masterpieces Preview First look at this year’s highly desired and collectible Miniature Master- pieces donated by local artists. Cash bar available with funds supporting the SteamPlant art galleries. This year you can place your bids starting on Friday or if you want to secure your favorite piece and take it with you, “Buy it Now” is the answer. This option starts at the preview and continues throughout the auction. For a $160 bid, tax inclusive, you can take your favorite work/s with you now… immediate gratification is so rewarding! 5-9pm – ARTIST RECEPTIONS Get a head start on the crowd with an evening stroll through our Govenor designated Creative Arts District in historic downtown Salida. View art, meet the artists, and perhaps purchase a piece of art. Enjoy refreshments and entertainment in participating venues or eat in one of our fine participating dining establishments.

SATURDAY, JUNE 23
9am-Noon - MINI MASTERPIECES Auction at the SteamPlant Riverside Annex. Bid on these Masterpieces while enjoying complimentary refreshments, brought to you by Kathleen Nelson & Cinda Riley of Keller Williams. 1-3pm - Pay for and pick up your treasures; credit cards accepted.
10am-9pm - GALLERY VIEWING & PERFORMANCE ART refer to the VENUE MAP and key. Visit each Venue, to enjoy the special entertainment & shop for the perfect art to add to your collection, or to give as a gift.
2:30pm - STEAMPLANT THEATRE - Stage Left Theatre Company presents “Man, Woman, Flower” by Dan LaRocque. Stage Left Press release.
12-3pm – ARTICIPATE Kid’s Screen Printing (bring cloth item to decorate) We will be in the Alcove on 1st Street behind the Sherman Building. Stop by and check out our featured artist: Lindsay Sutton and her Colorful Eco-Art.
5-7pm – Live Music
5-9pm – ARTIST RECEPTIONS This is the time to meet the artists, and perhaps purchase a piece of art. Refreshments and entertainment in participating venues.
4-6pm - Reception at the STEAMPLANT SCULPTURE PARK New outdoor sculpture by regional sculptors - Meet the sculptors happy hour. Food, beverages, cash bar.
12-6pm – CARRIAGE RIDES (Courtesy of Pinon Real Estate Group) Start you ride at the corner of F and Sackett.
STREET SHEET! Community Art Mural – Be part of a spontaneous combustion of creativity. We invite all to play, paint, and create a large canvas mural; supplies provided. Murals from previous years will be on display with silent auction bids encouraged. Proceeds support Youth Arts in Salida. Saturday : 12-4pm in front of the old “Unique” on First Street.
SALIDA CIRCUS will once again bring circus spirit to Salida ArtWalk! Stiltwalkers, acrobats, jugglers, unicyclists, balloon modelers and clowns will roam downtown Saturday and Sunday…and you might even see a high flying trapeze artist at Riverside Park!
SUNDAY, JUNE 24
10am-4pm - GALLERY FINALE The party continues. Revisit your favorite Venues and make you decisions or get to some place you missed earlier. Remember to feed your body at one Salida’s many outstanding dining venues. Always shop locally first. It supports your neighbors and makes our community stronger.
Look for area musicians in the participating venues for local live music throughout the weekend. Don’t miss local artists demonstrating their skills. June 4 – September 2, 2012 “100 Signs Of Peace” by Jimmy Descant, the Rocketman, a Severe Reconstructivist. In a special unique exhibition, Jimmy brings you 100 pieces of thought provoking and emotional mixed media assemblage, painting, and wording. Some large, some small, all unique. Jimmy Descant is Salida’s resident rocketship artist who builds sculptures from reclaimed parts from the golden age of American manufacturing.
